In addition to her private practice, Ms. Lane has served as in-house counsel for multiple businesses, where she not only handled issues relating to employment matters, but also participated in all of their major business decisions, including strategic planning and budgeting. She has served on boards of directors and executive staff for profit and nonprofit organizations, and as sales executive for IBM, Honeywell Information Systems, and ROLM Corporation. Having developed policies for companies in industries ranging from software to healthcare, she is deeply familiar with the workplace infrastructure of a successful business and the practicalities involved in keeping organizations profitable and employees engaged and effective.

Michele S. Lane brings to her clients more than 30 years of experience in business, law, conflict transformation, leadership development, and executive coaching. As founder of The Lane Alliance, she provides uniquely specialized consultation services that build on her mastery of management, leadership, and executive skills in workplace conflicts, including their legal implications and impact on business environments and operations.

Michele Lane received her law degree in 1984 and practiced law in a variety of legal disciplines until 1993 when she focused her practice on employment law. In addition to her law degree, she is a certified mediator, certified in the MBTI assessment and has obtained advanced training in Organizational and Relationship System Coaching, Conflict Resolution Training at Pepperdine University, Mediation Training at Pepperdine University, and other innovative programs that deal in mediation, conflict resolution, leadership, workplace culture, and systems design and change.
